“Barron’s Law Dictionary (4th Edition)” by Steven H. Gifis
book review by Riley Burnham 10/17/2026
i finished this a few months ago & am just now getting around to the review — extremely good book, worthwhile read, & precise in its content
the nice thing about a law dictionary is the accuracy of words & phrases, almost zero fat; everything is articulable & purposeful
law builds iteratively, so the ideas here move like glaciers, making the concepts a preservation of traditions of thought & jurisprudence (wisdom)
reading A-Z, it’s more engaging & interesting than the cover may indicate, & while dry, its force of application makes it illuminating 💡
