another beautiful book, the 4th i’ve read of Levi’s [in addition to his wife, Jennie’s, excellent “The Fight to Flourish”] 👏

this one is about midlife, aging, & growing through turmoil & challenges [blessings in disguise really]

he’s a pastor, so it’s backed up & referential of scripture throughout — regarding Saul’s pitfalls, David’s repentance, & Jesus’s perfection, each with a lesson about legacy & the best life, while operating within our own unique paths & callings

he notes that we can’t take anything with us, so to be wise in our dealings & usage of time, since “everything must go,” & that people will remember us by our kindness, our character, & our actions, rather than our stuff & possessions

the afterword was highly impactful, as he’d lost his father [which is mentioned within the book that he was having stomach pains, & between the time of completion & editing he passed, so Levi went deep on his reflections there] — i lost my dad recently enough that his experience shared similarities, & it was touching & moving to say the least

bravo, great book
