this was good -- a comprehensive overview of the history of money, more or less; finishing in modern times

we get the Babylonian/Mesopotamian inventions, the addition of decimal systems for money, the introduction of specific banking practices, government interventions, & on & on

i'd say, this is chocked full of content; so i pulled themes from it

the conclusion is that money functions much like Evolution [he does use a few tangents from here -- highly questionable, oh well], in that, for instance, the biggest firms tend to peter out within a century or less [often], & that better systems replace old systems

basically, yea, this is a good introduction to the concept
