really really really good(!!)

oh man, this is a -- or THE -- de facto book on boxin' -- AKA the "sweet science"

we get a tour of the late 1800s up until the mid-1950s, culminating in the awesome matchup of Rocky Marciano vs Archie Moore(!!)

the author, Liebling, attends the fights he recounts; capturing a time somewhat gone -- this is really good stuff(!)

apparently Sports Illustrated once listed this as the #1 sports book ever written; so right on(!)
